I have No regrets- Enrique

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has insisted that he does not have any regrets over his decision to start Luis Suarez in Saturday's 3-1 loss against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Uruguay international made his official Barca debut in the Clasico after serving a four-month ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup and featured from the start in the Spanish capital.

Suarez set up Neymar for the opening goal after just four minutes but couldn't prevent Madrid from turning the game around and was eventually taken off halfway through the second half.

"No, I do not have any regrets over my decision to let Suarez start," Luis Enrique stated.

"He has been with the team right from the start and he did well, perhaps even better than I expected."

The Barcelona coach then went on to admit that Madrid deserved their win as the Catalans were too careless in defence.

"We had some good spells, but I think we made too many mistakes. Madrid put in a good performance and deserved to win the game. We will have analyse what went wrong.

"Losing is part of football. We will have to learn from this and we will see at the end of the season how important this match was."

Real Madrid have closed to within a point of La Liga leaders Barcelona in the table.
